Briefly Encountered

Starring LIZ COLLIER, JAACQ HUGO, LAURA LOUISE BAKER & POLIS LOIZOU


Commissioned and created exclusively for Wayne Hemmingway’s Vintage Guild 2012, Briefly Encountered was a site-specific, walkabout intervention staged at Preston train station. Based on the classic and timeless film Brief Encounter, the work moved from platform to platform, invisible to some, captivating to others.


The work was devised in collaboration with our creative friends Bordello Theatre. With thanks to Hemingway Design, who assisted with hair and makeup, and to Dress Circle for the provision of genuine period costume.
